A seashell, a walnut shell and a moulding peach, lie in line like in a collection of artifacts, next to a white greyhound. Directing our focus towards the insignificant and the ordinary, this work unveils the richness residing in the overlooked fragments that shape our world, the easily disregarded yet ephemeral details. Seamlessly blending commonplace items with elements of refined culture, Seaward constructs an elegy to our civilisation or to our planet, or an ode to a new beginning. Immobile and austere, the white greyhound assumes a statue-like posture, evoking the specter of a ghostly presence.

Among the displayed pieces, this is the only artwork purposely revealing its fabrication as it remains exposed, the visible lines of the 3D printing process forming an integral part of its aesthetic.

Directing our focus towards the insignificant and the ordinary, this work unveils the richness residing in the overlooked fragments that shape our world, the easily disregarded yet ephemeral details. Seamlessly blending commonplace items with elements of refined culture, Seawards constructs an elegy to (our?) civilisation or to our planet, or an ode to a new beginning. Immobile and austere, the white greyhound assumes a statue-like posture, evoking the specter of a ghostly presence.
